Kevin Austin - Enzyme International

Kevin provided the following testimonial for Les' website: -

1. It has been an honour and privilege to have known Les for around 20 years. We (Enzyme) first met him when he was the General Manager - Information Technology & Technical Services for a major client in the information technology reseller sector. Our firm was assisting with business planning for his organisation when it underwent a forced restructure following the completion of a buy-out by a major retailer. Les personally looked after us for several years whilst we were a client of the information technology reseller for which he was the General Manager - Information Technology & Technical Services and we became one of his first clients when he started his own consulting business in 2005 after leaving the information technology reseller following another restructure of said information technology reseller.

2. Les is highly experienced, trustworthy and a technical giant when it comes to anything to do with technology. He stays continually up-to-date and is a source of wonderful advice when any challenge hits unexpectedly or is looming around the corner.

a. He rescued us when involved in a major transformation of the International Standards Organisation based in Geneva. My laptop suddenly froze just as the ISO Secretary General and other top team execs were actually settling for a major presentation by Enzyme. A quick phone call had Les, logging onto my pc from the Central Coast at an odd hour for him. Problem solved within minutes. No one ever knew we had had a glitch.

b. Magnificently managed our technology and recovery strategies since around 2000.

c. We literally don't know anyone who has higher levels of integrity.

d. Enzyme has recommended Les and his services over the years and never been let down.

e. We have never made a technology acquisition without first checking with Les.

f. When we switched to having our own e-mail server and file server, Les did it all without fuss and included storage redundancy and backup resources as an extra precaution.

g. He has never let an issue or problem beat him. You do get some nasty clashes with technology in small business. Les has never once let any issue defeat him. He sticks to the problem until he has cracked it.

h. In more recent years we switched the whole IT platform into the cloud when Microsoft's small business strategy changed. Once again, Les managed our successful migration.

i. His skills in both telecommunications and IT has proven a wonderful combination on more than a few occasions. At no point do you get "it's not my field, you need …" since he knows both worlds.

j. The vast majority of assistance is done remotely with only the occasional on-site visits needed when installing new hardware or systems.

k. He has provided enormous support whenever Enzyme sailed into unknown territory. Enzyme has been at the bleeding edge of technology every now and then utilising software and applications right up in the level of Rocket Science. Les was always an integral part of our successful implementation

3. Les keeps meticulous and secure records; he is consistent, reliable, charges very fairly, tenacious, and we have never found anyone or group that has a greater breath or depth of general technology skills that can help small business. So, Enzyme has stuck with him now for some 20 years and will keep doing so!!

4. As technology and business needs have evolved, so have Les's services. With more of our consultants working remotely, we still have him managing our dispersed technology resources with the cloud as our significant integrator. He has been a great advisor for video links and meetings that include major government agencies and corporations both domestically and internationally.
